International Engine of the Year Awards 2004 Trophy Presentation

The Awards were presented at a busy Engine Expo 2004, Stuttgart,

The crowds turned out for the Awards presentation, hosted at Engine Expo 2004, the Stuttgart-based event that is dedicated to engine technology
 
Tony Robinson, Awards Founder and CEO of UKiP Media & Events, the company that organises the International Engine of the Year Awards, presented the event
 
Liz Lavender, Product PR Manager, Honda Motor Europe, picked up the trophy for the Sub 1-litre winner, the Insight's 1-litre IMA
 
Graham Johnson, Awards Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of UKiP Media & Events - Automotive Magazines Division, presented BMW's Theodor Melcher, Director of Development, Petrol Engines and Management of Quality, with the trophy for the company's 2.5-litre, winner of the 2-litre to 2.5-litre category
 
Mercedes-AMG was represented by Wolf Zimmermann, Managing Director, Development and Production, who picked up the trophy for the Best Performance Engine, the 6-litre V12
 
Mazda's Jeffrey Guyton, VP, Finance and Systems, CFO, Mazda Motor Europe, was on hand to collect the prize for the RENESIS Rotary, which took the 2.5-litre to 3-litre class honours
 
VW's Klaus Blumensaat, R&D department, Diesel Engines, was delighted with the trophy for the Above 4-litre class, won by the firm's 5-litre TDi V10
 
Graham Johnson, Awards Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of UKiP Media & Events - Automotive Magazines Division, presented Tadashi Nakagawa, Chief Executive Engineer, Toyota Motor Europe, with the trophy for producing the Best New Engine of 2004
 
Graham Johnson, Awards Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of UKiP Media & Events - Automotive Magazines Division, presented Johannes Thammer, VP for Product and Sales Planning, Toyota Motor Europe, with the Best 1.4-litre to 1.8-litre trophy
 
Dr Takehisa Yaegashi, Senior General Manager, Powertrain Development Group, Toyota Motor Corporation, was delighted to receive the
International Engine of the Year 2004 trophy
